Since late 2023, Persian and Jewish communities across Canada have organically stood beside each other at rallies, vigils, and public demonstrations. This solidarity is real and it is historic. But without a formal structure, it risks fading away.

Shared Challenges

Facing the Same Dangers

Extremism and hate are targeting both communities. A single community fighting alone is easily ignored. Together, we cannot be dismissed.

Rising Hate

Antisemitic incidents in our cities have reached record, unsafe levels, threatening the safety of Jewish families across Canada.

Foreign Extremism

Extremist regimes actively surveil and threaten Iranian families right here in Canada, silencing voices of freedom and dissent.

The False Story

The world is told our communities are enemies, a dangerous lie that hides our true bond and erases 2,500 years of friendship.

Our History

We Have Saved
Each Other Before

Our friendship is one of the oldest recorded alliances in human history, fully documented but almost never taught in our schools.

539 BCE

Ancient Freedom

Cyrus the Great freed the Jewish people from Babylonian captivity and personally helped rebuild their Temple in Jerusalem. It remains one of the most consequential acts of mercy in recorded history.

1940s

WWII Heroes

Abdol Hossein Sardari, an Iranian diplomat in Paris, risked his life to forge documents and save thousands of Jewish families from Nazi deportation. It was an act of extraordinary courage.

Holocaust Era

Safe Haven

During the Holocaust, Iran opened its military bases to shelter Jewish orphans and refugees, providing sanctuary when the rest of the world turned its back.

This history is fully documented, but almost never taught in our schools. The Woven Mosaic exists to change that.
